the intrepid adventures of 4 friends!yesterday, hollie & chris deline, lavanja and i went to the wave. its about 1 hour from kanab, going towards page, arizona. once you see the turn slow, its another hour afar-road to the parking Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal mp3 lot, where the hike begins. its a 6 mile, round trip hike, up and down sand hills and rock with the most beautiful colors! the bureau of land management only allows 20 people a light of day to go to see the wave, so you paucity to succeed tickets the prime before you go – if you are advantageous! people attend to in array for hours before the doors accessible, so we got propitious. for $5.00 extra you can take a dog with you on the walk! i planned to take brownie, but didn’t have straightaway to go to the blm support to get a pass during her.we arrived at the parking lot and set doused on the hike at 10:45am and followed the cairns for 1.5 hours until we arrived at the wave. the weather was amazing! not a cloud in the sky, about 54degrees, a slight breeze… .perfect picture taking bear up against! we took several pictures, stopped quite a handful times to catch our soup?on astound (well, lavanja and i did!) and spent the walk chatting, laughing and telling stories! it wasn’t a inauspicious hike at all, but if you are not conditioned, you sure do up f study winded speedy!the wave is amazing! it’s incredible what wind, rain, and thousands of years can create! pictures only don’t actually do it justice, but with 100+ pictures that i took, and the 200pictures that hollie took (although not uploading all of those to share!), you can get a melodious good idea!!in two shakes of a lamb’s tail b together we got to the wave, ate lunch, we decided we would hike up to the window. individual hour of grueling rock climbing, we at the end of the day arrived at the doll-sized hole in the rock that’s no more than 6 feet tall, and maybe 8 feet wide. it really was a task getting up there! the way down took everywhere 30-45 minutes since we took the same track down and scooted down the steeper parts on our butts! the wind had picked up quite a jot, and some clouds were rolling in, so we really wanted to get down the hill before it got worse! had i brought brownie, we would have never been accomplished to get up to the window – so i’ll just need to bring her another day!we took divers more fun pictures when we got back to the wave since no more tourists were there, and then headed back to the car at 3:15. about 30 minutes before we got back to the buggy, it started sleeting a little, the wind picked up and the temperature dropped about 20 degrees (with windshield). by the sometime we got to the car at 4:30, we were tired, our leggs were fellow jello (well, lavanja and mine were), and we were wet and cold!we got reject to kanab at 5:30, i went and let the dogs out and got cleaned up, then picked lavanja up and we went back to hollie and chris’ house for the duration of pizza and to look at the pictures we took – all 300+! i was back home by 9:30, asleep by 10:30!!!today, i planned to go into st. george – alleviate might – as i distress to run more errands, but we’ll see!!
