Jaipur City

10/3/2008hello from jaipur, india!! brett and i are doing great! it’s wonderful how healthy we get along; in fact we both dazzle each other with our blessing and collaborative travel skills. i read maps and fool around proffer-sanitizer and brett talks to strangers and carries important things. right now, we haven’t ridden an italian train in 3rd class to save 17 hours with no food or sleep yet, but so far things are quite good. (in case there was any worries no hope home)jaipur is another muscular, holy city in prime india. we visited respective palaces and temples and drove through the streets, watching unexciting life. we went to the jaipur museum to attempt to learn more about indian religions and culture. a woman there gave us a modest tour of the artwork and explained a bit about the maharajah royalty of jaipur. each maharajah was so talented and we got to see examples of what made each one so spectacular. the museum is located in one of the maharajah palaces in the room where visitors were accepted an eye to royal meetings. it contained the unprecedented, giant persian rugs (largest 57′ in length), a 2 ton crystal chandelier, and a ceiling intricately painted with real gold and many wonderful, colorful designs. there was also so much artwork depicting the many gods of the hindu doctrine and we got to get wind of some mythical stories to nick us understand. brett enjoyed the weapons museum where we saw many generations of battle equipment. this was one stop we justifiably enjoyed because it gave us a official insight into what we are looking for from our visit to india. we wandered through the amber fort and discussed it’s possible history. our driver does not seem to know much about the places he takes us and we do not have a travel mentor book, so we are not really grasping the vein of the holiness of these places. what we are grasping is a think for india. garbage lines every street with wild boars, goats, and cows scavenging with the aid it. the ancient temples and forts are in alarming decay status that is very pathetic. there seems to be renovations occurring on every monument, however nothing seems to be getting done. they charge tourists up to 20 times the appraisal for things they charge indians. most places are vegetarian and serve no alcohol. cleanliness is not a influence… anywhere. you can’t walk down the way without being hassled to buy useless gadgets or souvenirs. if you enrol a photo of something, a person desire pop out of behind somewhere and request a tip-off. it is hot during the day, even in the winter. it is exceptionally difficult to allow the extreme poverty of most of the people we have encountered. i am not sure how the end up of india may be, but the day-tripper areas we maintain encountered so far are smattered with rubbish and beggars. this is a spoiled westerner speaking, but we have planned definitely been making an effort to exceedingly appreciate all that india has to offer. and i think so far we have been somewhat unsuccessful. we are plainly making in effort to spread what moneyed we can, however at the end of the day, we always feel at unease that we have not given enough, but at the same time that we have constantly been taken asset of.i fancy, what it comes down to is that for all these experiences and all the people we have met, we feel that india is an humongous place and we are thankful to have expert it.
